eLearning

School closures or eLearning days are determined on a case-by-case basis by the Superintendent. During an eLearning day, attendance is taken during each class and student participation is expected.

Expectations

PreK

PreK students will be sent home with an eLearning Emergency Activity Kit Backpack which will contain eLearning Activity Cards.

Activities

If a eLearning day is called, PreK students, with support from their parent/guardian, will select an Activity Card from the backpack. Students will choose 10 activities of their choice from the Activity Card and use the materials within the backpack to complete each activity. The parent/guardian must initial each completed activity.

Students will return their Activity Cards to school the next day school is in session for participation and proof of attendance.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade

Accessing eLearningIf an eLearning day is called, Kindergarten - 2nd grade students will participate in their daily instruction using their district-issued laptop and an internet connection.

Families Without Internet Students who do not have access to internet may use an eLearning Emergency Activity Kit.

Kindergarten - 2nd Grade Students will receive an eLearning Emergency Activity Kit from school.

3rd Grade - 8th Grade Parents may request an eLearning Emergency Activity Kit for their student by calling the District Office at 847-872-5455. *Kits will not be available the day of an eLearning day.

Completing Activity KitsStudents will select an Activity Card from the eLearning Emergency Activity Kit and complete all the activities from each subject area listed on the card. The parent/guardian must initial all completed activities.

To receive credit, students must return their completed Activity Card and supporting materials when in-person school resumes. Students who do not return a completed Activity Card will be marked absent.
